In the most competitive funding cycle in the history of the J.B. Brown Fund, the partnership between LifeSTEPS and USA Properties Fund has announced that 28 scholarships valued at $75,600 were awarded during the application review process that was completed on August 6.

 

"It's amazing how many great applicants we had," said Beth Southorn, Executive Director for LifeSTEPS. "The scholars who will receive these awards truly demonstrate the diversity, depth and breadth of qualified, talented people who reside in USA Properties communities. We look forward to what they will accomplish and will give back to the world."

 

The Fall cycle completes the J.B. Brown Fund academic scholarship program for 2015. Overall, 42 scholarships valued at $95,200 were awarded in 2015.  On October 1, 2015, LifeSTEPS and the USA Family of Companies will gather at an Open House Reception to celebrate these scholars and other beneficiaries of the J.B. Brown Fund.  

 

The J.B. Brown Fund, whose purpose is to provide USA Properties residents with access to educational, sports and economic stabilization opportunities, is a partnership between USA Properties Fund and LifeSTEPS. Major funding for the program comes from USA Properties Fund; grants from Wells Fargo Foundation and US Bancorp Foundation; in addition to donations from businesses and individuals.
