Memjet Technology -
Dawn of a New Era in Color Printing
Many of you have called to discuss the latest buzz in our industry about Memjet technology. This technology has been under development by an Australian firm for over 13 years. Yet, it has only been recently that the cost of the Memjet print engine technology has reached a commercially viable point. There are a number of OEM's around the world who have adopted the Memjet technology to create a high speed wide format color printer. These printers are capable of printing at 1600 x 1600 DPI at throughput speeds of 6" per second.
At Evergreen, we have been working with several equipment manufactures to influence the development of these products. We are aggressively working to become industry experts in this emerging technology. Although these machines are presently being used and tested in Europe, no US distributor has officially released a production Memjet machine. Over the coming months, look for exciting news regarding this industry changing technology. This is just the beginning of an exciting new era in wide format color. We have been listening to your suggestions for determining which new parts to develop. Evergreen's Mad Doctor has been hard at work developing a number of new products.Here is a list of the parts we are expecting to release in coming months:
