To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!

Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.

Enter the Take Action Now System (tm).

This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.

The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.

Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today.

Greetings!

We've all seen the signs: those directional masterpieces with the little red X just above the caption "You are here."

I think a lot of us actually have a problem following the advice to "be here now."  Too often, we get either get lured out of the present moment by the siren song of future possibilities, or we get dragged into the mire past to re-live old pains and grievances.

What would your business - and your life - be like if you were to be fully present and involved with each moment as it comes up?  How would your clients feel if they knew you were intently focused on their needs, their desires, every minute you interact with them?  Would that create loyalty in your clients and intense satisfaction for you?  Would it safe you the stress and inefficiencies that come with trying to multitask?

If you're wondering what it could do for you, personally and professionally, to "be here now", use the following tools to slow down and tune in.

Tip of the Week

Stay calm by staying in the present moment.

Stress hits us when we dwell in the past or project into the future.  If you take just one moment at a time and focus on it, you'll experience more ease and less stress.

By the way, thank you to Cheryl Hiltibran of CMH Coaching and Consulting for reinforcing this concept for me.

A Really Good Resource

I figure that the Universe will keep sending me opportunities to learn important lessons until I actually do learn them.

Since I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be in my own attempts to be here now, I'm going to get some help by attending the free-of-charge Chopra Center Meditation Challenge.  Although the challenge officially began Monday, August 5th, you can still register for it; each day's meditation will be available online for up to one week, so you can easily catch up.

I admit that "meditation challenge" seems like a contradiction in terms, but - trust me - this will be a wonderful program.  The Chopra Center offers these free Challenges up to four times a year, and I've done several of them.  While the focus of this particular one is Miraculous Relationships, the more fundamental emphasis is on learning to simply take time to truly be here in this present moment.

If it feels like your eyes are spinning in your head and your blood pressure is going through the roof, taking a few minutes each day to be quiet and still could be just what you need - and deserve.
How's This for Success?
successful entrepreneurs take care of their physical health

Here's a general shout-out to every entrepreneur who keeps her body healthy so she can keep her business healthy.

Robert Schneider, MD, is the director of the government-sponsored Center for Natural Medicine and Prevention on the campus of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, one of 16 such centers in the country.

He states that, in the past 30 years, approximately 600 studies have been conducted worldwide on the effects of transcendental meditation on blood pressure, and they repeatedly show it to be effective in easing stress (which is one of the major risk factors for heart disease).  Researchers believe that the deep rest achieved through TM sparks biochemical changes that help the body and mind reach a more balanced state; these changes, in turn, then trigger the body's own self-repair mechanism.

You know how handy it is to have a "repair" button available on your computer?  Apparently you also have one for your body.  Pretty cool!

The Bottom Line

While there are many benefits to being fully present in the current moment, you obviously also need to look to the future if you want your business to grow.  The tricky part is balancing that "eyes on the prize" future orientation with effectively and efficiently operating in the present - especially when your present is crowded with people and tasks demanding your attention.

If your present moment is driving you crazy, maybe I can help.  As a coach specializing in helping you take action effectively, I can show you how to figure out what needs doing and what doesn't - and when and how to do the tasks that truly deserve your attention.

If that sounds like something that could keep your stress level from going straight off the charts, call or e-mail me to set up a let's-see-what-we-see, get-acquainted call.

Wishing you joy on your journey into Big...
