It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!

Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.

Enter the Take Action Now System (tm).

This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.

The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.

Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today.

Greetings!

You've probably heard the observation that "life is what happens while we're making other plans" - or, in my case, while I was traveling literally coast to coast and finally putting my house on the market.

We're all crazy busy, it seems, and it's all too easy to get swept away in that flood of busy-ness.  The challenge is to get clear on what activities we're willing to hold tight to and what we're willing to release so that we don't drown.

Sometimes there's no ideal course of action to take, and we're faced with making what feels like the best of icky choices. I made such a  choice when I took a two-week break from putting out this ezine. I wasn't totally happy with the decision, and I felt it was the choice most likely to keep my head from exploding.  (Thinking about it in those terms made the break seem more acceptable.)

The next time you're feeling overwhelmed by professional and personal demands, see if the following tools can keep your head above water.

Tip of the Week

You are the one you've been waiting for.

I love this comment, which comes from Davidji, the lead instructor at the Chopra Center for Well-being.

While you can certainly benefit from the help of others, you are at the core of your own success.  If you've been asking yourself what (or who) you need to get to that next level, maybe it's time to acknowledge that you have a tremendous amount of power yourself.  Tap into available resources, of course, but never underestimate your own abilities.
A Really Good Resource

If you want to be really radical, ASK your ideal clients what sort of additional services they would like you to provide.

An easy and cost-effective tools for this type of market research is SurveyMonkey.  Even the free version offers a great deal of flexibility and is a huge help in getting important feedback you can use to expand and improve your business.

For example:  I created a survey to solicit input on designing a new product that will keep my entrepreneurial clients on task and making progress toward their goals, and I'd love to get your feedback. The survey is just four questions, so it's easy to add your two cents' worth.  And thanks for your help!
How's This for Success?
successful entrepreneur

Sometimes I think the most

important question you can ask is, "What am I willing to do to build my business?"  When the answer is, "Whatever it takes", success is unavoidable.  A case in point is Robyn Meister.

Robyn is high on my heroes list because she's helping us find our great new home in exotic Iowa. How did we come to work with her?  I completed online requests for additional information on several houses I was interested in.  Despite my having done the search quite late in the evening, I got a follow-up call from Robyn within half an hour of hitting the "send" button.

Did she demonstrate she wanted our business? Yes. Did she push herself on us in any way? No. With this type of respectful service, she made it easy for us to be comfortable working with her.  Since this is how she always works with clients, it's no surprise that she's one of the most successful Realtors in Cedar Rapids.  Do we know how to pick 'em, or what?

Thanks to my friend Flickr.

Here are this week's heroes who graciously allowed me to use their images, posted in the Creative Commons area of Flickr, in this issue of Stepping Into Big

The Bottom Line

One of the questions you may be asking yourself is, "How do I get a handle on all these ideas I have for building my business?"  If you're a "typical" entrepreneur, lack of creativity is not your problem: It's lack of implementation that's stalling you.

Maybe I can help.  My specialty is providing a step-by-step approach that enables you to gather, evaluate, prioritize, and act on your most crucial useful ideas.  If that sounds like yet another powerful tool that could keep your head from exploding, call or e-mail me to set up a let's-see-what-we-see, get-acquainted call.

Wishing you joy on your journey into Big...
