Update on New CFB Regulations Effective 1/1/16
We sent all of you an alert prior to 1/1/16 about the changes to the regulations that became effective technically on 1/1/16. Some of you have contacted us regarding access to the new form for embalming authorization and the placard for the prep room.
CFDA has been in dialogue with CFB and want to inform you of the following;
- CFB has a grace period for compliance until April 1, 2016. This will allow funeral homes time to update their forms, price list etc and to hopefully use the form supplies they have already produced.
- CFB will be sending a letter to all licensees next week describing the regulation changes and other polices that have changed in the new year.
- The new forms for embalming authorization/decline and the prep room placard will be posted to the CFB website in the coming weeks. We checked today and the revised forms were not yet posted.
- The laws and regulations portion of the CFB website will also be updated in the next month or so. In some cases sections are renumbered and others have changes in texts.
