And the Winner Is....
This year's Soon to Be Famous Illinois Author is Geralyn Hesslau Magrady for her historical novel, Lines--. The winner was announced April 14 in a ceremony at the Chicago Ridge Public Library. The runners-up were finalists James Hosek, author of Give A Dog A Bone, and Amanda Meredith, author of Irish Heart. Last year's winner, Michael Alan Peck, read excerpts from each book to an appreciative audience.
