Proposed Bylaw Change Article IX, Section I -- Election Procedures, Language Change The Illinois Library Association Executive Board endorses a language change in Article IX, Section I of the ILA Handbook to allow electronic voting. The goal of language in the bylaws is to keep it as broad as possible in order to limit the need for frequent amendments, requiring membership approval. Suggested language change: Article IX, Section I Delete the word "mail." Vote to Amend?

This was the ninth year that ILA offered electronic voting.

In 2013, with 2,548 personal members eligible to vote 911 voted (36 percent). This breaks down as:  857 electronic (2,229 eligible electronic voters or 38 percent) and 54 paper (319 eligible paper voters or 17 percent).
