Governor's Budget Proposal
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn presented on Wednesday, 6 March 2013, what he called the most difficult budget in the state's history, saying he was slashing spending on programs such as education to pay the skyrocketing costs of public pensions.
ILA reviewed the 500-page budget, and it appears that the governor has proposed level funding for library grants programs. Please click here for the Illinois State Budget Fiscal Year 2014. See chapter 6, pages 39-41.
