Discover & Go, the library's new museum pass reservation system, provides library cardholders with the ability to make reservations to local museums and cultural institutions at free or discounted prices.  The number of persons admitted per pass varies by venue. 

 

Discover & Go passes can be printed online. Each Discover & Go pass expires immediately after the reservation date - no returns required and no possibility for overdue fines! This unique program allows library users to make reservations online by date or by venue and immediately print out a pass.

Self Defense for Girls

Are you a girl between the ages of 11 and 18?  Have you ever wanted to learn how to defend yourself? Well here's your chance! This free workshop lead by female Tae Kwon Do instructors will teach simple techniques to help you defend yourself in sticky situations. Participants will learn how to hurt an attacker enough to be able to run away and get help.This event is hosted by the Alameda County Junior Commission on the Status of Women.
