WHAT A WEEK FOR CRUISING ... 

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines once again breaks ground with the launch this week of its new Quantum class ships - Quantum and Anthem, due for introduction in 2014/15. Although not as big as the record-breaking Oasis and Allure, the new class of ships promise innovation and excitement. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge named the new Royal Princess in Southampton. The ships keep coming, and all those of us active in the cruise sector need to keep the creativity and determination coming, to build the market and maintain our margins. That's a big ask, but with the enlightened partnership of our cruise lines, we can surely achieve success.

... AND A POSITIVE ONE FOR SCOTLAND'S AIRPORTS 

Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow all recorded increases in passenger throughput for May and all are engaged in investment or service enhancement projects of one kind or another. Importantly for SPAA members, Scotland's three main airports maintain close ties with the Association. Communication between is ongoing and comprehensive and that's good for all of us - and our business and leisure travel customers.
