It proved - as always - to be a fun and closely fought contest, as our Travel Quiz kicked off in Glasgow, with doyen of Quizmasters Aman Kohli - ably assisted by Quizmistress Irene - running the Heat. The evening was lively and competitive, but of course there have to be winners and in the event Costwatchers came first; second was Travel 2 - led by Tony McSorley, and third was the Team from Kenneth MacLeod Travel. Watch out, this coming week and next, for full reports and all the pictures from the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Heats, as we head towards our Grand Final in June.  

FIRST 'FACE-TO-FACE' LUNCH OF THE YEAR TAKES PLACE IN GLASGOW  

Prior to the Quiz Heat, Tuesday, we held our first Face to Face Lunch of the year - attended by 15 prominent SPAA Members and Associates. Again - as always - the discussion was wide-ranging, lively and thought-provoking, and we move on now to Edinburgh and Aberdeen for the 2nd and 3rd events. As readers of this weekly column will know, your Association is an active and objective participant in an ongoing range of travel sector campaigns, consultations and issues-of-the-day, and your input - in the form of your thoughts, ideas and comments - is vital in informing Council as we represent Scotland's travel community on the national, UK and European stage.
