CRS Annual Report

We wanted to provide a copy of the CRS Annual Report to the membership that was made available to all attendees at the September CRS Annual Meeting. It has not been updated so the news re the MICRA initiative does not reflect the tremendous victory for the physician community and MICRA coalition in defeating Prop. 46 in November.

The 2015 CRS Annual Meeting will be held on October 2-4, 2015 in Newport Beach. We encourage you to mark your calendars and plan on attending. We wish you happy holidays and appreciate your continued support.

Year End RADPAC Appeal - Keep California on Top

Dear Members,

I just wanted to interrupt your holidays to make an end of the year appeal to donate to RADPAC. We are about 100 donors short of making the 20% donor level for California. If you have donated before but have not yet donated in 2014, please consider renewing your donation before year's end. If you haven't donated before, please consider a first time donation. And if you have already donated this year, please accept my sincerest thanks for helping RADPAC to help you and please get your colleagues to donate. Believe me, the return on your donation is not insignificant and RADPAC cannot do what it does without your support.

Just a couple of examples:

  • Efforts by RADPAC and the ACR government relations and economic health policy team resulted in preventing or reducing $130 million in proposed cuts in just 2011 alone, a nearly 13,000% return on investment (based on $1,126,674 in contributions made to members of Congress).
  • In 2001, ACR was instrumental in increasing the global mammography screening rate from $69.21 to $81.81 which translates to nearly $13,000 increase in reimbursement per radiologist per year for the past 10 years if a radiologist reads 1000 screening mammograms per year.

To donate online, please go to RADPAC.org. Otherwise please complete and mail or fax one of the attached forms (RADPAC Contribution Form or RADPAC Wire Transfer Instructions). Any amount is welcome $50, $100, $250 or more). Participation is what is most important.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

Mark Yeh, MD

RADPAC Advisor for California
