Howdy,
Sorry about being late on this one. I couldn't get everything done yesterday on our email service. There's a few things popping up this week and weekend to pay attention to so heads up, if you're planning out your calendars. Also, I need casseroles for this weekend! If you can make one or two or eight please let me know!
I've had some fun going through the Noah series these past few weeks. It really has opened my eyes to some amazing things that I've never thought of with Noah. It's a fairly short story in the bible with not a lot of details to cover a long time. One thing in particular that struck me this week was that during the movie clip, you could hear the screams of all the people outside the ark. I never even thought about that. I'm sure that there must've been something like that for Noah to endure. It makes me think about how sometimes, our decisions have massive consequences and they will not always have the support of everyone we want. In fact, sometimes it can seem heartless. In the case of Noah, the thing that kept him going forward was that he knew that he was doing what God wanted him to do. He continued with the plan and didn't make deviations because of what seemed like a good idea. Our lives can end up at the same crossroads many times. There may be decisions that have to be made for the betterment of our lives, but not everyone will be a fan of it. The question them becomes, "what is our decision based on?" Is it based on what you think or what God says? That's something to think about for me as I go forward in my walk. Have a blessed week, Church!
Also, I found out about this from Megan Gross. It's an opportunity to be a part of a focus group screening for a new movie by the same company that made God's Not Dead. It's about 3 1/2 hours total on December 1 and pays $100. Fill out this form and send it in to see if you qualify
