Living Generously In A Time Of Dis-Ease
There are many reasons for deep concern in our world today. One of those concerns, the spread of the Ebola virus to our country, seems to have stabilized for now. With the tightening of medical protocols and the recovery of most of the people being treated in our nation, we have shifted this week from near panic to a lower level of anxiety. We forget that life has always been very tenuous for human beings. That is probably why Jesus' ministry of healing was the one that first made people pay attention to what he was saying. History and personal experience tells us that gospel is a source of both spiritual and physical healing for those willing to take it up and live within its blessing
I hope you will join us for a service of prayer and healing for Nov. 23rd at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary.
We are also committed to do what we can to live generously during this time of dis-ease in the nation. Given the current state of our medical system, the chances are excellent that the dis-ease which will cost the most lives in our area will not be Ebola. It will be the flu. One of the ways we can live generously is to be sure that as many people as possible get their flu shots. If you know someone who does not have insurance and who cannot afford a flu shot, please direct them to the church and give us a chance to help.
Blessings to all, Pastor Allyson

Work the Pumpkin Patch
|
Youth Group needs help at the Pumpkin Patch! The 15th of the month usually marks the spike in sales because people are now wanting to get their pumpkins. We'll be maxed out with guests through the end of the month. We are in desperate need of week-day workers to fill shifts from 3:30-5 and 5-7PM every day. Weekend shifts are 2 hours from 9 AM - 7 PM.
Thank you for your help and support. Contact Jason Westbrook, Melinda Eskridge or Deb Ramsey and sign up on the board in the Family Life Center!
