The month of Adar is upon us, and Purim is nearly here!
At Beth Emet there are a variety of ways in which to celebrate for folks of all ages. On Wednesday, March 4th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. will be the Megillah reading and our annual original Purim Spiel, Beautiful Purim - A Carole King Inspired Spiel.
You may ask - how is such a spiel created? At Beth Emet we are so very fortunate to have a talented pool of adult writers, cast members, and musicians who dedicate enormous time and energy leading up to Purim to create such a masterpiece. Beth Emet's Youth Choir will also treat us to a couple of songs, and of course - we cannot forget our Megillah readers who are second to none! If you have never experienced a Purim Spiel before - it is something not to be missed!
On Sunday, March 8th, beginning at 10:30 a.m. don't miss our special program for families with young children and the legendary Purim carnival, hosted by BESSY--Beth Emet's Senior Youth group. See the details below about all of our Purim programs. During this season of celebration, it is also customary to make a donation to charity. Please consider absorbing this practice into your Purim observance as well.
As they say, "Be Happy... It's Adar!"
Cantor Arik Luck
P.S. Calling all movie makers, amateurs or pros - we are looking for someone to videotape this year's Spiel. If you are interested, please contact Bekki Harris Kaplan. |
