Honoring Girls on the Run Founder
At the 2014 Girls on the Run Summit in San Antonio, a special tribute was given to GOTR International founder, Molly Barker. Molly announced in January 2013 that she was retiring from GOTRI to be more present for her two children and to pursue other endeavors. To honor Molly, special stories, memories and well wishes were shared by those who have been involved with GOTR from its beginnings; Danielle Plunkett of GOTR Southeastern Michigan, Rita DeBate, Ph.D. of GOTR Greater Tampa Bay, Sandy Barry-Loken of GOTR Kalamazoo and Elizabeth Kunz of GOTRI. Molly looks forward to continuing to connect with councils and sharing the power of GOTR through speaking engagements. Here's a photo of Molly from a recent visit with GOTR-STL in December. At that visit, she was able to connect with GOTR girls at Jackson Park Elementary...you can see how Molly shines when she's surrounded by and connected with the girls!  Molly's impact and presence continues through the amazing work of GOTR volunteers and supporters! Molly, a HUGE thank you for bringing this life-changing program to girls and their communities!

Volunteer Opportunities
We need more than 300 volunteers to ensure we have a fun and safe 5k. Please be a part of our celebration on Saturday, May 10 downtown! We need your help to make this event special for the girls.

Our 5k is not like any other - it's a celebration of hard work, achieving your goals and setting young girls on the path to a healthy and happy life! The race is a great volunteer opportunity for students, organizations and local businesses to come together and serve the community.

Sign-up here to volunteer for packet pick-up, race village set-up, finisher food & water, course marshal, to host a cheer station and more!
