Respect Tamarancho Neighbors

With increased use of Tamarancho by cyclists, there has also been more complaints by neighbors who live on Iron Springs Road, which is the main entry to the camp. So please:

  • Don't use the road or the woods nearby as a bathroom. We will be posting signs along the trail to bathrooms in the camp that will be easily accessible for cyclists.
  • Be aware of uphill car traffic when descending Iron Springs Road, and monitor your speed.
  • Voices carry. Be aware of how loud talking can bother homeowners who live next to Iron Springs Road.
  • And last, remember that dogs are NOT allowed at Tamarancho without prior approval.

Access4Bikes/MCBC:
Marin Mt Vision Bike Raffle

Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Access4Bikes want to expand Marin's bike trail network and increase access to singletrack trails. Support their efforts, and win a 2015 Marin Mt. Vision mountain bike! Marin Bikes, MCBC, and A4B are giving away an XO1/Fox equipped Mt. Vision XM9 worth $6,699 to one lucky winner.

Even if you don't win the bike, everybody wins more riding opportunities as 100% of the money raised will go towards our fight for more singletrack! In 2014, they are working on Marin's first change-in-use trail project (Bill's Trail), Marin's first bike park (Stafford Lake Bike Park), and many more projects to expand Marin's bike trail network.

Tickets are available now, until October 25 at 12 noon. The winner will be announced at the Access4Bikes Film Festival and on The MCBC and A4B Facebook pages. All proceeds will go to mountain bike advocacy work in Marin County, CA.

Tamarancho Trail Shorts

Plans are moving ahead for a new, downhill-only trail that will connect Goldman Trail and Iron Springs Road. Construction may start this winter. As with all trails at Tamarancho, this trail will be built by volunteers. Experienced riders know that Fall offers some of the best riding conditions at Tamarancho.

Are you a fan of the Flow Trail? Did you know the trail has its own Facebook page? Check it out at: www.facebook.com/TAMOFLOW. The trails can be crowded on weekends. Remember that uphill riders have the right of way and always ride in control.

The new 2015 Annual Pass and the 2015-2016 Gold Passes should be on sale starting December 1.
