Chamber Planning Retreat/Community Roundtable

Mr. Boyles was this year's retreat leader and is pictured leading the 30 plus Chamber members comprised of representatives from the City, County, Lincoln County Schools, Downtown Development Association, and Lincoln Economic Development Association in a strategic planning session.

Chamber Member Spotlight Boys to Men Consignment
Boys to Men is a consignment shop geared strictly for boys and men. We consign clothing from boys size 4, all the way through teens and men of all sizes. Some of our consignment items include, t-shirts, shorts, polo's, sport pants and shirts, jeans, khakis, sweat shirts, suits, ties, dress shirts, coats. We sell all accessories, belts, watches, baseball hats, sporting equipment, shoes, movies, and books. We have lots of great brand names including Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Hollister, Lucky Brand, Jos A Bank to name just a few. Consignments are taking in on Tuesdays and Thursdays, clothing must be season appropriate and only lightly worn.

Chamber Holds Annual Banquet
The Chamber held it's Annual Banquet on November 21st at the Laboratory Mill in Lincolnton. Well over 300 people were in attendance. Several awards were handed out at the banquet including the following:
Congratulations to Crystal Mitchem, West Lincoln Veterinary Hospital for being selected as the Chamber's 2013 Small Business Person of the Year.

Marty Hallman, The Timken Company received the Volunteer of the Year award. Unfortunately he was unable to attend but he stopped by the Chamber office to pick up his award. The Chamber hosted a City Candidates forum on October 22nd at the Lincoln Cultural Center. All five candidates running for office participated. Tim Holder, EnergyUnited was the emcee for the evening. |
