- Domestic tourism in Lincoln County generated an economic impact of $47.80 million in 2012. This was a 5.24 % change from 2011.
- In 2012, Lincoln County ranked 57 in travel impact among North Carolina's 100 Counties.
- More than 360 jobs in Lincoln County were directly attributable to travel and tourism.
- Travel generated a $7.42 million payroll in 2012.
- State and local tax revenues from travel to Lincoln County amounted to $3.95 million. This represents a $49.83 tax saving to each county resident.
- Popular attractions include Lake Norman and Duke Power's Energy explorium.
