The Chamber and the Lincoln County Board of Education held the 34th Annual Academic Achievement Awards on May 21, 2013 at the James W. Warren Citizens Center.  The banquet recognizes the top 10 students from each of the county high schools.  Guest speaker for the event was District Court Judge Meredith Shuford.
 
Several scholarships are awarded at the banquet each year.  Pictured above are the four winners of the Chamber's $1000.00 scholarships.  From left to right is Melisa Harrison, Chair of the Board, Rebecca Faith Barnes, West Lincoln High School; Kirsten Hart Hudgens, East Lincoln High School; Sharla Ann Sugierski, North Lincoln High School; and Heather Rae Kiziah, Lincolnton High School.

Heavenly Paws Grooming

Heavenly Paws  The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce conducted a Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the new location of Heavenly Paws Grooming. Heavenly Paws Grooming is owned by Betty Day and is now located at 152 Vandiver Drive, Lincolnton, NC.

 

Participating in the ribbon cutting ceremony included Mayor John Gilleland, City of Lincolnton, Melisa Harrison, 2013 Chamber Chair of the Board, and Eddie Sigmon, Chamber Ambassadors' Committee Chair.

The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Carl Katterson, owner of East Main Street Artisans, celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of his new store located in downtown Lincolnton, NC. Joining the celebration were fellow Chamber members.

 

Also in attendance included the Mayor of the City of Lincolnton, Mr. John Gilleland, Klay Shrum, owner of Katie Wood, who serves as Vice-Chair of the Chamber's Ambassadors Committee, Buddy Collins, Edward Jones, Immediate Past Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Chamber President, Ken Kindley

A crowd of Chamber members and guests attended the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Amy's Closet and Consignment Boutique. The store celebrated its new location at 
West Pointe Shoppes in Denver, NC.
