Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

We are so pleased that Reverend Diane Shoaf will be with us again this weekend and will be speaking from Luke 6:27-36.
Sometimes we need a reminder to do as Christ requests in this scripture: "...Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you... Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.... Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Each and every day we have an opportunity to extend grace to others. Perhaps this week, in light of this time of tragedy in Oklahoma, this statement is even more powerful. Please extend your prayers to the people who have been devastated by the recent tornado. Let us all ask God to be with the residents and families at this most difficult time and to provide the strength needed that only He can provide. God wants everyone to have a deep assurance that His plan is to strengthen us, no matter what the circumstances. In days such as these, it is a great secret to know the strength of the Lord!
"How blessed is the man whose strength is in Thee." Psalm: 84:5
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
