I pray that you are well and that these unusually warm spring days are a balm to your soul as they are to mine. The change in seasons is one of the ways I experience the presence and love of God. I love that the creation is renewed like our souls in different ways during the year and it reminds me to let God know about it and say thanks.

Change in seasons is an expected part of life and, if we're honest with ourselves, change itself is an expected part of life. We are born. We grow through the various stages of life, with their accompanying accomplishments and challenges. One day, God will draw us out of this life into a new life. At every stage of life there is change: some we like and some not so much.

We all change through life and go through changes. Change is so much a part of life that many people are convinced that change itself is the one constant in life. I disagree. God is the one constant in life and God is always there for us.

The presence of God is the one constant in our lives whatever is coming our way. The presence of God is constant when we are enjoying the best life has to offer. The presence of God is constant when we are facing some of life's most difficult moments. The presence of God is constant when we are unsure of what's coming next and that presence means that what's coming next is more life. Life may be changed and we may not exactly like the change that has come our way. But whatever it is, God is always there.

So as you face the life that is before you and the changes that are coming your way, I invite you to remember that God is here with you now. I invite you to remember that God goes before you into your next change in life. I invite you to remember that you are the apple of His eye and that He is guarding you always.
