Campaign TIP of the Week - Thank YOU!

The most important step in the United Way campaign is thanking those who gave! By making the givers aware of the importance of their contributions you not only show appreciation, but this simple act encourages future giving as well. Here are some simple thank you ideas:

  • Report final campaign results to employees promptly.
  • Post thank-you message boldly in highly visible areas. It's OK to be creative!
  • Have your CEO send a thank you letter to the campaign team and employee givers.
  • Host a campaign-ending event with refreshments, entertainment and any internal campaign awards.
  • Recognize significant achievements by individuals, groups or departments within the organization, as well as your committee.

Earned Income Tax Credit

The Financial Stability Partnership has joined with the long-standing free tax preparation services provided by AARP Tax-Aide Program, The Salvation Army, and the Senior Center, as well as the Internal Revenue Service and the Minnesota Department of Revenue to promote free tax preparation in Olmsted County. There are three AARP Tax-Aide sites in Olmsted County that provide free tax preparation.

IRS-Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Tax Preparers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will prepare your taxes for FREE if you are an individual or family with low-to moderate income.

Beginning in January, call one of the free tax sites for more information or to make a FREE tax appointment - click here.
