Greetings in the name of our awesome Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
We are thrilled by the wonderful and exciting things God is doing here in Haiti.
Lives are being transformed. People are finding hope for the first time. And an air of optimism is rising from the masses.
Knowing that there is a God who loves and cares for you can make all the difference.
We see it daily in the lives of the children we serve. Young people, who were once abandoned, forgotten and abused, are now seeking to overcome hopelessness and take part in transforming a nation. Why? Because they know it is possible. They know they serve the God of the impossible and that with Him all things are possible. He has the power to bring forth change that really makes a difference.
There are many, many organizations here in Haiti trying to initiate positive change but those that seem to be making the more lasting, long-term impact are those who rely not on the power of man but on the power of God. And we don't just say that because that is where we are at. We see the evidence in the older people we meet here who grew up in Christian orphanages and who are now truly making a difference for Haiti
God loves the people of Haiti and wants to see them redeemed. All He wants are willing vessels that are seeking His will and direction.
Please pray with us and for us, that His will be done and His kingdom come here in Haiti. That we be the willing vessels he wants. And that this beautiful country can truly be transformed as our Lord promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14
...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Please pray for us and pray for the people of Haiti. Thank you. In Christ in Haiti, The Manasseros |

Camp-in-a-Box 2013
Camp-in-a-Box 2013 is coming up August 3 through 10th. and will be held at the Global Outreach facilities in Titanyen, about fifteen miles north of Port-au-Prince.
Once again, we will be rolling out our instant summer camp for the Maison de Lumiere (the Lighthouse) kids for a week of inspired teaching, Bible study, team games, great food and much more fun. The kids at the Lighthouse look forward to this event all year long.
The original idea was to capture a typical Christian summer camp experience, box-it-up and bring it to share with the children of Haiti.
Utilizing a diverse, multi-church, 30 plus person planning team, that includes counselors, activity directors, worship band members, planners, coordinators and a host of others, the camp team prepares months in advance for this amazing event.
During the camp, a speaker leads the children through the Bible and camp theme in a series of presentations. In addition, the children are divided into four different colored teams who compete throughout the week in a series of exciting games and competitions. The event is usually wrapped up with a silly "Haiti's Got Talent" talent show on the last night.
This is a very special event that blesses the children of the Lighthouse tremendously. The children look forward to the event every year.

Dream Team Mission Trip June 14-21, 2013
A special missions trip has been scheduled for June 14-21, 2013 for people who have always wanted to visit Child Hope in Haiti but were not part of a formal church or other missions team group. Individuals, couples, families and other interested people will comprise this special "Dream Team" to experience a week at The Lighthouse, Child Hope's mission in Haiti.
This unique week will be personally hosted by Bill and Susette Manassero who will lead morning and evening devotions and host all activities during the week. Their daughter Ariana Manassero will also have a special time with the team members where she will share the story about "the dream" she had at 8 years of age that ultimately resulted in what Child Hope Haiti has become today.
Other activities during the week will include hands-on work projects, fun activities at the boys and girls homes, assistance with the feeding program, outreaches to the local tent city/ravine communities, a fun full-day beach trip and more.
The cost of the week will be $800, excluding airfare and will include all on-ground expenses such as room and board (three great meals a day), health travel insurance, transportation, and all activities. Space is limited, so to insure your place, register online with a $400 deposit per person. You will also need to complete a brief application online . If you have any questions, please feel free to write us at info@childhope.org.
We expect this to be a memorable trip that participants will long remember.
