Seniors should be looking into scholarships now if they are planning on going to college next fall. Iron Engineer Program
Iron Engineer at Aggieland is a conference that will be held Friday and Saturday, January 29-30, 2016 at the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, Texas. The conference is open to all high school students, especially those interested in math, science or engineering related fields! Cost of Attendance for this two day event is $45 and includes: engineering competitions, department and lab tours, panel discussions, interactions with Texas A&M engineering students and much more. Thanksgiving lunch offered again this year
Texas City ISD annually prepares a traditional Thanksgiving meal in the school cafeterias. Students are encouraged to invite their families to join them during their regular lunch period. Please RSVP with your child's school cafeteria if you plan to participate. Lunch for visitors costs $5.50 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

Little Women runs Nov. 19, 20 and 21
The Texas City High School production of Little Women runs November 19, 21 and 22 at Texas City High School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday with the show starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for the Sunday 3 p.m. performance. Tickets are $5 with a reservation or $7 at the door. Reservations can be made by calling 409-916-0837 or email Jessica Hazzard.

TCHS wins District 23-5A Volleyball honors
Multiple Texas City High School students received District 23-5A volleyball honors recently.
The District Offensive Player of the Year was Outside Hitter Treslyn Ortiz, senior. Head Volleyball Coach Christian Dunn confirmed that this is the first time in the school's history that we have had a volleyball athlete receive a District specialty award. Treslyn has committed to playing volleyball next year at Wingate University. 1st Team All-District Libero - Celeste Lacy, junior

Soccer Booster Club selling variety of items
The Soccer Booster Club is currently selling Christmas ornaments for $10 each. They are made of shatterproof plastic with the Stings logo and name imprinted on both sides. There are also tote bags available for $8 each. The Booster Club is taking pre-orders for 60" square Orange / Black golf umbrellas. Please email Kristi Rambin if you are interested.

TCHS yearbook pre-sale ends Friday, Nov. 19
The TCHS yearbook staff is currently taking pre-orders for the 2015-16 yearbook. Yearbooks are priced at $60 until Thanksgiving. Our staff will be taking orders at all three lunches until Friday, November 19th. You may also order a yearbook online. Enter Texas City High School, then click "yearbooks" to order. After Thanksgiving break, the price goes up to $70, so order yours today.

Roosevelt-Wilson Book Fair Nov. 30-Dec. 11
Roosevelt-Wilson Elementary Book Fair will be open November 30 through December 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Book Fair raises money for the school library. Books make great holiday gifts!
