When the property became too much for the Louttit family to maintain, it was put up for sale in 1954 and purchased by oil company executive William "Pete" Alton Jones. Continuing to call it Hianloland Farm, he used it as a private hunting and fishing resort. "Jones got us up at 6 a.m. for one of his typical breakfasts - five kinds of fruit, three eggs, ham, bacon, biscuits, coffee, milk, pie and cheese..."

Erin Guerra, Special Events Coordinator
Since receiving her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University as well as her Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida, Erin has spent her career working in various areas of the hospitality industry such as hotel and catering sectors before joining the Whispering Pines family in 2008. Since then, Erin has been planning and coordinating all special events at the Whispering Pines Conference Center from birthday parties to weddings. With having coordinated hundreds of weddings throughout her career, she credits much of her success with having such a wonderful and talented staff along with her calm and charismatic demeanor to ease any wedding jitters that come our way.
