This week, Tarzan comes to the Contra Costa Musical Theatre in Walnut Creek, and Kenny Loggins performs at a benefit for wounded soldiers at Wente Vineyards in Livermore. Mike Tyson brings his one-man-show to the Fox Theater in Oakland, and Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward makes an appearance at the Lesher Speakers Series in Walnut Creek. Say goodbye to the STAR test

 

Have you heard? Come this spring, public school students will no longer have to endure the unpopular STAR test. A recently signed bill gets rid of the old STAR test, and makes way for a new, computerized test that will better reflect changes in curriculum. Diablo spoke to author Susan Bonilla (D-Concord) the day the bill passed.
