Vicki Tall-Chief
Oklahoma Professor to serve as Keynote Speaker

Vicki L. Tall Chief, Ed.D. (PI of the University of Oklahoma Local Performance Site) received a great honor this month. The United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps Scientist Professional Advisory Committee (SciPAC) invited her to serve as Keynote Speaker at the 2016 USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium SciPAC Category Day in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on May 18, 2016. Overseen by the Surgeon General, the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is a diverse team of public health professionals. The Scientist Category is comprised of USPHS Officers who are assigned to a wide range of positions and duties. As noted in the invitation, Dr. Tall Chief was selected based on her "unique experience leveraging community-based approaches, specifically in the areas of Preparedness and Emergency Response, capacity building, and your work with tribal communities." We all congratulate Vicki and wish her well with this and other activities during retirement.
