Patient Testimonial:

I have my wife back!

Before my wife started going to the Woodlands Institute, remaining married seemed like an ever growing challenge.

She was moody, extremely irritable, lacking any desire for intimacy, etc. She suffered severe PMS symptoms.  She had no energy or motivation to do anything.

Since following the program outlined for her, she has turned into the wonderful woman I married. She does not suffer the PMS as before.  She is cheerful, happy, and healthy and has a much better outlook on life. She smiles a lot now and laughs constantly.

Thank you Dr. McManus and team!

Jesse

Supplements of the Month:
Sleep-Enhancing Supplements

Achieving quality sleep is fundamental to our level of health and wellness. While we realize there are exceptions to every rule and circumstances to consider, we do advise against prescription or over the counter sleep aids as a routine solution to insomnia. Rather, we want to explore the root causes of the problem and correct those areas whenever possible.  Because there are many reasons for a reduction in serotonin/melatonin production related to aging, stress, digestive and lifestyle factors, we often use a variety of natural supplements to support imbalances and deficiencies that can disrupt sleep.  It is important to remember that supplementation needs to be consistent and given time to correct imbalances and deficiencies. This often requires a little more patience. With guidance and support from your healthcare provider, we recommend any of the following supplements, alone or in combination, to aid in improving sleep quality:

Foods That Promote Sleep

Nancy Mehlert
by Nancy Mehlert, MS

In every step of my life journey, one message resounds over and over again.  What we eat really does matter.  The optimal function of the human body is in every way dependent on our daily food choices. There is no question in my mind that when we don't eat well, we are promoting dysfunction and disease rather than optimal function. Good nutrition applies to getting a good night's sleep, too!

Changes with Our
Supplement Lines

krill
In February 2014, Comple-mentaryPrescriptions™ joined the SFI team of health care practitioner brands along with ProThera® and Klaire Labs® to continue to provide high quality nutritional supplements and innovative formulas. Since this merger, Complementary Prescriptions has decided to eliminate supplements that are also offered through the other brands. As these changes occur we will do our best to ensure that our replacement products are comparable in value and potency so that you can rest assured you are still taking quality products that are recommended by TWIHW staff. In addition, during this transition, some supplements have been on back order for weeks to months at a time, and while we hope these days are behind us, it's possible there may be future bumps in the road.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all transition through these changes.
