From the Executive Director
Vision Maker Media ended the 2015 year knowing we've made a difference in people's lives. And with your donation, 2016 will be even better! We helped over 50 filmmakers with technical assistance, development of educational tools and held over 100 screenings nationwide. We engaged more than 10,000 individuals through our events. Public Television programmers scheduled our films with over 34,000 telecasts nationwide. Through these efforts, we continue to encourage aspiring, young Native Americans to tell their own stories. This is only possible because of your contribution in 2015!
Here's some of the great feedback we received this past year:
"Thanks for producing such a high-quality documentary in
'Good Meat'--and for the excellent education fact sheets that go along with it. We are looking on how to best incorporate both the video and the guides into some lesson plans we are working on at the state level for Montana high school kids."
--Holly Hunts, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Health
and Human Development
"The film "Across the Creek" is thoughtful, inspiring, a template film for all who seek a way to restore that which may have been thought lost...highly recommended for all tribes and communities, for parents and children..."
--Dave Warren, Founding Deputy Director, National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution
