(Lincoln, Neb.): Vision Maker Media announces the addition of Charles "Boots" Kennedye (Kiowa) and Dawn Amory to its Lincoln office.

Kennedye serves as a Documentary Producer after working at The Oklahoma Network (OETA) over the last decade. Kennedye has headed many major projects with the Public Television station and his work has won multiple Heartland Emmy-Awards.

Kennedye has strong ties to Vision Maker Media. In 2011, he partnered with Rocky Mountain PBS Producer Lisa Olken and Director Larry Pourier (Lakota) as Director of Photography to film and produce Urban Rez, a co-production with Vision Maker Media. This historical documentary recounts the United States' Voluntary Relocation Program spanning from 1952-1973.

In his spare time, he carved-out a second career as a sports photographer working for the NBA Thunder Basketball team since its 2008 inaugural season.

Kennedye will be working on the Vision Maker Media original series "Growing Native" and will also direct Vision Maker Media's Creative Services division.

Boots has played a lead role in more than 150 productions and won numerous accolades from many national press associations including The Oklahoma Broadcasters Association, Society of Professional Journalists, Dallas Press Club Association, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Associated Press, and the National Education Television Association.

Amory is Vision Maker Media's first Development Coordinator. Originally from Nebraska, she feels right at home at Vision Maker Media, having previously worked for Nebraska Educational Telecommunications in various roles throughout her career. Amory also has experience in the higher-education sector.

In her new role, Dawn will work closely with Vision Maker Media staff, foundations, and donors to promote Vision Maker Media's mission and educational goals.

"When I first had the opportunity to work with both Boots and Dawn, I was so pleased to see such talented and accomplished young professionals with such a motivation to change the world through the power of storytelling on film. I speak on behalf of the entire staff that we are pleased to see our organization grow in order to better serve our Public Television members and Native American constituents," said Shirley K. Sneve (Rosebud Sioux), Executive Director of Vision Maker Media.
