2100-2200ET/HD04 | FTGN 00 H1 | NETA The efforts of contemporary Native performers to recast themselves in the 21st century are examined in For the Generations: Native Story & Performance, co-produced by OPB and Painted Sky.
 The Native performers infuse contemporary genres of dance and music with traditional elements from their tribal heritage. Through artist interviews and performances, six profiles document the effort to bring this new "Native Fusion" genre to mainstream performing arts. Artists' recollections and outreach efforts set-off an exploration of health and fitness issues in American Indian Communities--both on the reservation and in urban settings.
