Home Office and Entertainment Issue

The two most important things today's home provides;  a place to be productive and a place for enjoyment.  Most of us even work at least some on the weekend and still enjoy having friends over right after we walkaway from work.  This issue will help you to have more time for play and be your most productive when working.

Locate Your Home Office
in a Space You Enjoy

Is your home office not working? Maybe it is because you do not like being in an out of the way, uncomfortable place at home. This condo has the office in the open living room off in a corner. From the desk one can work and enjoy the outdoor views and even glance at television should there be important news.

Ample storage is in the cadenza and shelf unit behind the desk. File drawers and an all-in-one-printer is within reach of a comfortable desk chair. The paper shredder is tucked inside a section of cadenza to help prevent identity thief. Two monitors help to multitask with fewer papers on the desk.

If your are trying to work without creating a space you enjoy, is it any wonder you don't enjoy work?

Cables off the Floor

Keep all the computer, lamp and other power cords off the floor by simply mounting the power strip to the inside of your desk.  As cables are tightened up, label the power strip or place tags on the cords so not to ever unplug the wrong piece of equipment.

Last Minute Dinner Party?

No Problem When Organized

After completing that last project for the day, paying the bills, and making the final social media click for the day - your thinking about hosting a small dinner party in 2 hours.  Cool!

SETTING THE TABLE

This 1947 Stromberg Carlson radio cabinet has been converted to useful storage.  A section for vases, one for candles, and one for other table decorations.  With everything in one place, sure of the moment guests are always welcome.

ORGANIZE YOUR BAR

Always be ready for company with cocktail glasses, napkins, and bottle openers in same location. Notice we filed the cocktail napkins vertically making it easier to see the variety.  A deep drawer is ideal to keep extra alcohol ready for pouring. Now have cheers!
