Happy Fathers Day Saxon Dads!
We had a great time manning our booth at the Anaheim Children's Art Festival last month. The kids seemed to enjoy coloring the butterflies and I think the adults had as much fun helping them.
Next, we had a booth at Loara's open house. The Association received a gift of quite a few cases of Ladies inspirational t-shirts, tank tops and sweatshirts. We brought these to the open house and gave them away to students and their families.
These community outreach projects are just one of the ways your Association is giving back to the community and to Loara.
We have a couple of upcoming events in the works. First is lunch at Tom's Farms in Corona/Temescal Canyon on Sunday June 28th at 12 noon. This is a great place with shops, restaurants and even children's rides. There will be some free pizzas but there are many other food offerings that you can purchase including wine and beer in their restaurants and stores. If you are on Facebook you can Click here to RSVP. Note, there is no charge other than what food and drink you purchase for this event.
On July 25 we are going to an Angel's Baseball game. We have rented a huge suite that holds 36 people. The cost including food, sodas and fireworks is $110.00 per person. Alcoholic beverages and specialty food may be purchased at an additional cost. But you better hurry because we only have a few tickets left! Click here to purchase your baseball tickets.
I recently saw a post on Facebook by the Anaheim High Alumni Association that they just awarded $15,000.00 in scholarships to Anaheim High students. WOW!! That was wonderful of them and it shows what an Alumni Association can do with dedicated members. Wouldn't it be great to give that much back to Loara students? I know you are asked for donations from many sources and you cannot give to all of them. I hope you will put us at the top of the list and click here to become a member or click here donate to our association.
Thank you to the members who have renewed their memberships and to those new members who have recently joined us. We can't do this without you!!
I hope to see you at one or more of the upcoming events!
