Congratulations, 2014 Alumni!

Congratulations to the nearly 1,400 new alumni who make up the Class of 2014. More than 500 members of the class were at Commencement on May 22 at Villanova University.

The Alumni Association would also like to congratulate Dr. Dori Lawson '03 on being named the 2014 Alumni Professional Achievement Award winner. Dr. Lawson received her award at Commencement, where she delivered the keynote address.

American Red Cross Blood Drive, June 18

The Wellness Center at the College is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cafeteria on the Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA).  

  

To make an appointment to donate blood, or for more information, please contact the Wellness Center at 610-359-5140 or register online at www.RedCrossBlood.org (enter sponsor code DCCC). The College is handicap accessible with limited parking. Please call in advance to make arrangements.

 

New Choices Career Development Program honored

The New Choices Career Development Program at the College was recently honored by the 2014 Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Awards. The organization hosts an annual silent auction as part of its event and designates a local non-profit to receive the proceeds.  

 

When the evening concluded, Sandy Gera, Director of New Choices, was presented with a check for over $9,000 to support the work her team performs to assist economically disadvantaged individuals, single parents, single pregnant women and individuals in transition.

Alumni Profile: Jessica Fowler '07  

Fowler is a public relations specialist for Answering Services for Directors, a funeral home answering service located in Media. The former The Communitarian reporter transferred to Temple University and went on to graduate with high honors.
