Online winter course available to alumni

 

Alumni are invited to enroll in the College's new accelerated winter session, or to spread the word.  

 

Registration is now open for these intensive five-week credit courses, which are offered entirely online.  

 

The sessions run from Dec. 16 until Jan. 17, 2014.  This program features more than 50 courses covering a range of disciplines including American History, Elementary Spanish, English Composition, and Introduction to Business. Support will be available 24/7 and students will have access to tutorials to guide them through these classes.

 

Classes are filling quickly and space is limited, so visit dccc.edu/winter or call 1-877-912-DCCC (3222) to register. The deadline to register is Friday, Dec. 13. For more information, read about the program on our website HERE.

Wong Moss Award Nominations

 

The Alumni Awards competition will begin accepting nominations Dec. 2, and continue until February 3, 2014. Alumni are encouraged to nominate their family, friends, co-workers or themselves for the Alumni Professional Achievement Award and the Wong Moss Outstanding Alumni Award. Winter Photo Contest

Alumni are still encouraged to submit their best winter landscape pictures, which will be sent out to all as our holiday greeting. The winner will receive a $200 gift card and appropriate credit for their work in our piece. 

 

The deadline has been extended to Friday, November 29, and submissions can be sent via email to Doug Ferguson, Director of Alumni Programs ([email protected]).

 

Alumni Profiles Needed
The College's New Choices Career Development Program is seeking successful alumnae in Trade and Technical careers (Architectural Technology, Automotive Technology, Plumbing, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, etc.) who would be willing to be profiled for an upcoming campaign to increase the enrollment of female students in programs non-traditional to gender.

Alumni Profile: Dr. Robert DiFulgo '71

 

The alumni profile for November features Dr. J. Robert DiFulgo '71, a Vietnam Veteran, classroom educator and accomplished author.  Dr. DiFulgo attended our recent alumni mixer in Washington, D.C. and we are happy to share his story with the entire alumni association.
