Is Marsh the Same as Land?
Although the answer to that question is plainly "no," Jekyll Island Authority staff have sought an opinion from the Georgia Attorney General to decide if 1,700 acres of marsh adjacent to Jekyll Island are land. This plea to the AG not only flies in the face of common sense, it is contrary to the findings of a JIA appointed expert task force.
