Bariatric Program Coordinator Update
Refresh with Spring
Happy Spring to everyone! My name is Danette Larkins. I am happy to introduce myself as the new Bariatric Program Coordinator. I look forward to meeting you soon.
I have been in this position since January and have enjoyed it immensely. There is so much to learn. It is very rewarding to work with all of you - an outstanding and appreciative group of people. Spring is a time for new growth, sunshine, warmer weather and the opportunity to be outside more often.
We all have goals and probably set resolutions at the first of the year. Maybe some of them have gone by the wayside....ummm...but guess what? Springtime is another opportunity to pick ourselves up, put our best foot forward and start taking steps to live healthy.
By the way, words of encouragement and patient testimonials of triumph are on our website. When you get a chance please take time and look at these inspiring stories.
I also want to personally thank all of our wonderful Support Group leaders across the state of Nebraska! We definitely appreciate your care, dedication and support with our journeys and I look forward to meeting you.
Living life and being grateful for my job is something I want to share with you. We are here to help you succeed.
Best wishes for a wonderful spring,
Danette Larkins, RN BSN

Weight-Loss Surgery Support Groups and Education 2014
First Tuesday of the Month
Continuing support and fellowship following weight-loss surgery is critical to a patient's long term success.
With our recent change of offering one Support Group per month, we are pleased to see many patients attending group.
We started out the year with 14 patients who came to hear Lynn Marcus, Mental Health Therapist, lead us into the New Year.
The February Meeting was cancelled due to a snow storm!
In March we had 12 members meet the new Bariatric Program Coordinator, Danette Larkins RN, BSN, who shared her thoughts and plans for Support Group.
Plan to bring a friend and attend the next Support Group:
