Follow-Up with your Surgeon via the Nebraska Statewide Network

Did you know that if you live out of the Lincoln area, you can have some of your
follow-up visits with your surgeon via Telehealth?

We are using current technology to connect you  with your surgeon in the Saint Elizabeth Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center program. You can attend your scheduled appointment at your local hospital and the surgeon will connect with you via tele-communication. Your surgeon will be able to talk to you, complete an assessment of how you are progressing and answer any questions you may have.

You can save time away from work and travel expenses to Lincoln. Patients will always be scheduled to see the surgeon face-to-face for the first visit after surgery. If you are doing well, you might consider scheduling your next appointment through the telehealth network in Nebraska. We have already started utilizing this service for patients that live out of Lincoln and the response has been very positive!

If you live out of Lincoln and are interested in telehealth follow-up visits, please discuss with your surgeon at your two-week visit following surgery.

Announcing New Walking Group at Saint Elizabeth

Sharon J., an active member of support group is starting a walking group. This summer, immediately following support group, we will put on our walking shoes and stride the campus of Saint Elizabeth.

Exercise is much more fun when we can do it together. Sharon's desire is to motivate others as well as incorporate more movement and exercise into our daily routines.

Thank you Sharon, for your commitment to living a healthy lifestyle and, most of all, for helping others to achieve the same. You are an inspiration to all of us!

Don't forget to bring your walking shoes! We will have a drawing for a door prize for those that participate.
