 Rain, Rain...

It may be Fall up North, but we're still experiencing Summer weather and lots of rainy days. The good thing is - it usually doesn't rain all day. The bad part is - the humidity has been unbelievable.

The other negative effect of the rain is that the water in your pool needs attention. It may be overflowing and the combination of rain and extremely hot weather is probably causing havoc with depleting chemicals. Keep an eye on water levels and check your chemicals more often and on a consistent basis.

While we're tolerating this crazy weather isn't it great to have a pool to cool off in?

Hope you're enjoying at least a daily dip!

Sincerely,

Ultra UV - Ultimate UV Water Sanitizer &
Clear 03 for Ozone Pure Water
Ultra UV water sanitizer

Paramount's Ultra UV Water Sanitizer provides an additional layer of protection beyond the capability of chlorine or salt based chlorine generators. As water circulates through the Ultra UV chamber the UV light immediately inactivates 99.9% of micro-organisms and algae which are resistant to chlorine. This provides a cleaner, clearer swimming environment with zero harmful by-products and reduces the amount of chlorine needed to maintain an adequate level of residual sanitizer.
Clear 03 for Ozone Pure Water

The Clear 03 water purifying system is the perfect addition to any new or existing pool for the cleanest water possible. Ozone is created with a UV bulb specifically designed to actively break down non-living waste products in pool water which can combine with chlorine to form unhealthy by-products that can irritate skin & eyes and have been linked to asthma and other ailments.  Use of ozone reduces the demand for pool chemicals by up to 50% and allows the chlorine in the pool to work more effectively as a disinfectant. The ozone enriched air is mixed with the water to continuously "shock" your pool keeping it sparkling clear and swim ready.

Ozone and ultra violet light sanitize water at the pump filter, eliminating bacteria and microorganisms. They considerably reduce chemical dependency. Ultra V only works when the pump is on so you'll still need a bit of chlorine for the hours when the pump is not on, especially with warm humid nights.

Remodeling the Featured Pool

Before - 1990's fiberglass pool and wood deck
Before - 1990's fiberglass pool and wood deck

The existing fiberglass pool, deck and screen enclosure were installed in the early 90's. We removed the end wall of the screen enclosure to be able to remove the old pool. Then we formed and shot in the new concrete pool.

4x8 white/charcoal pavers from TriCircle were used and set in a herringbone pattern for the decking close to the pool.
Pavers meet seamlessly with the existing wood deck

The trick was to have it transition seamlessly into the existing wood deck.
White coping borders the pool that has a white pearl Pebble Tec interior finish.

Perfect fit! Looks like it's always been there!
