This Month's Featured Pool

Following the natural curve of the canal, this pool, the screen enclosure

and the pool's retaining wall are all curved.

 Excuse Our Dust!
We're remodeling our showroom!
We've closed off an exterior door and window to allow for more wall space for displays. There will be a variety of display formats to highlight each product and make it easier for us to access them when we're working with clients.
We'll also be installing new carpeting, creating a larger conference table (with new comfortable seating) and a new reception desk. The walls will be getting a new coat of paint as well as accent wallpaper!
Thanks to the efforts of interior designer, Lorie Irons (Home Showcase Interiors), I am sure that our new look will be great! We'll keep you updated and when we're all finished I hope that you'll stop by and see the final results.

DIY Ideas...

Lattice Trellis

Photo: Kolin Smith

Not only does this trellis add architectural interest but it saves your home from the damage that vining plants can cause.
Using 2 different styles (square & diagonal) of the natural wood trellis topped by wood plinths creates an interesting focal point against the plain white wall. If your home is painted then consider white vinyl trellis sections to contrast.
Be sure to use sturdy posts set deeply into the ground to support the weight of the trellis as well as the plants.
By the way...that lovely vine is a mandevilla vine - which grows very well in our area.

In the Heat of the Summer Does Your Pool Water Feel Like Bath Water?
Have we got an answer for you!
Taking a dip in the pool is supposed to be refreshing, but with our steamy, hot Summers, we can be really disappointed when the water is as warm as the air.
Heat & Chiller Pumps!
Yep! It heats the water in the Winter and COOLS the water in the Summer!
Hayward Heat Pro Heat and Cool Pump
We all know how heat pumps work...the evaporator coil takes heat energy from the air and the internal mechanisms transfer the heat to the water in your swimming pool.
Chillers and Heat/Cool units reverse the process. They take the heat out of the water, transfer it to the internal Freon and run it through the evaporator coil which releases the heat to the outside air - while cooling the pool water!

These pumps are really beneficial for open pools or those with a Southern exposure
Give us a call, we'd love to tell you all about the
Heat-Chill Pumps and how they can make your Summer swimming a pleasure!

Curved Pool
(see full view at top of page)

A view from the outside.

To raise the pool to meet the level of this new Arthur Rutenberg home we created a 28" high retaining wall that follows the natural curve of the canal.

By using multiple sections of screening and aluminum cage supports we were able to create that same curve for the screen enclosure.

A closer look at the graceful flow of pool, deck, cage and canal.

No matter the shape or size of your lot,

Nautilus Pools can design a beautiful swimming pool that will not only

fit your needs

but fit your home as well!

Give us a call to make an appointment so we can start building the pool you've been dreaming of!
