Hey, Kids
Be Careful Out There!

It's always fun to see the kids "Trick or Treating"especially the littlest ones that are trying it for the first time. The costumes change every year to coincide with the latest movie or tv characters. What ever happened to simple home made costumes that used whatever we had in the house. Of course there were the kids that had a mom that was creative and could sew - but whatever you wore, the best thing about the night was the "loot".

What kid doesn't love going through a bag of candy to find their favorites. Well, that hasn't changed much and I hope everyone has a great time, but remember, Be Careful Out There!

Sincerely,

 Pete Coccaro

Great D-I-Y Project

Create a Garden Cart from an old BBQ

What do you do when your grill dies? Sure you can put it out for trash, but why not take another look at it. It would make a perfect garden cart!

We're all into recycling and re-purposing and here's an easy project to take on. I found this article on the "A Spotted Pony" site and you can visit the site for all the details.

Basically you take off all the "working" grill parts...gas lines, knobs - and of course, the TANK. Spray paint it a cheerful color (or leave it black if you're not into the extra work) add some hooks and start rolling it around the yard to have your gardening "stuff" where you need it. You can even use the interior of the grill for a potting station.

Check out all the details on "A Spotted Pony" and enjoy your gardening.

By the way, enter our final contest and maybe YOU will WIN a NEW GRILL!

Nautilus Employees Earn
 CPR Certification

The Charlotte Harbor Chapter of the FSPA (FL Swimming Pool Asso) held their first ever CPR certification program. Beth & Renee Coccaro and Maryann & Gina Gaconi all participated and received their certifications.

The certification, which is good for two years, was presented by the American Heart Association and emphasized the newest techniques in providing CPR to those infants, children and adults in need of assistance.  The training included use of the Automated External Defibrillator machine found in most public places.

The program was sponsored by a grant from Insurance by Ken Brown. The training was held at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Charlotte County facility in the Family Services Center.

Having taken the course before, the ladies were surprised at the amount of changes there were to the techniques with the new format.

The program was available to the public and swimming pool industry members alike.
