Greetings!
As the new President of the Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA) I am honored and thankful to work and play in an industry of talented and great people. There have been many exceptional people within the association (both statewide and local) that have a history of good decisions and hard work that has made us a more enduring and more focused industry.
One of my goals for this year is to form working relationships with other trade associations in the state to get stronger legislation against unlicensed contracting activity. The unfair labor and insurance practices of unlicensed or under-licensed contractors harm homeowners and legitimate construction companies equally.
If you are going to have any type of construction work done on your home or premises, please be sure to check with your local building department to see that the company is properly licensed and insured.
