Thank you...

A big thank you to ADG for providing opportunities for kids in foster care to see the Oklahoma RedHawks play from the ADG suite at the Bricktown Ball Park. Three groups of kids in foster care, including children from Family Junction Teen Shelter, Independent Living Youth and children in a youth wrestling/mentoring program, were able to have a memorable experience because of their generosity.

If you have event tickets that you would like to donate, please email our Executive Director, Lisa Feist HERE

Birthday Wishes

On average each month, more than 200 Oklahoma county children have a birthday while in foster care. While we hope that they are in a loving home that could celebrate their latest milestone, we know that many are not. Your gift of $25 goes to provide a cake (thru Birthdays Made With Love) and gift for a child in foster care.
Please go to OKFosterWishes.com to read the names and ages of children who will celebrate their birthday this month away from their family and uncertain of their future.

Christmas Volunteers Needed

We are gearing up for a great year of giving to fulfill a great need for Christmas gifts.

The number of children in foster care in Oklahoma has continued to climb. The estimates are that there are currently more than 9,200 children in Oklahoma's protective custody of foster care. That is a significant jump since January's snap shot of 8,308 and a sobering leap from January 2011's snapshot of 8046.

With that said, we are looking for representatives in each of the 77 counties of Oklahoma who will work with their OKDHS counter part and community partners to help facilitate the collection and distribution of Christmas gifts.

The coordinator will work with their OKDHS county director and the OKFW State Coordinator on the OKFW Christmas Drive.
