What's the Secret to Charitable Giving Through a Donor Advised Fund?
There is no secret. The truth is, utilizing a Donor Advised Fund at The Catholic Foundation offers optimal flexibility for charitable giving. Often times financial advisors recommend Donor Advised funds over a private foundation.
Benefits of a Donor Advised Fund at The Catholic Foundation include:
- you can support various charitable intentions both Catholic and non-Catholic in our community and beyond.
- you can make charitable gifts of stock and avoid capital gains tax.
- significant tax advantages and considerably less complexity because it exists in the context of a community foundation.
- reduced administrative tasks associated with charitable giving.
If giving through a Donor Advised Fund at The Catholic Foundation is something you are considering please contact Cheryl Unis Mansour or Michael George in our office for guidance on establishing this type of charitable fund. For more information on other current giving options at The Catholic Foundation visit our website.
