VETERAN'S DAY PARADE & FLOAT
OPERATION VETERANS' DAY PARADE

Our Veteran's Day Parade Float is completed!  Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped in the design and assembly.   We look forward to unveiling it at this year's Parade on Wednesday, November 11th (there is no Club meeting that day).

On Tuesday, 10 November @5:30pm, we'll prepare the float for travel, and clean the warehouse.  A few volunteers would make the job easier.  We'll be at Central Park Office/Industrial Park, 3728 Philips Highway #304, Jacksonville (near the corner of Emerson and Philips).

We still need to identify some Club members willing to work during the Parade, for final on-site assembly at EverBank Field and tear down after the parade.

While we have identified the float "riders" we need at least two more parade volunteers to carry the Southside Businessmen's Club Banner ahead of the float.  No experience required, just a pair of walking shoes and a patriotic smile.  Please contact Charles Armstrong or Hal Smith if you'd like to participate.

OPERATION ORDER - VETERANS' DAY PARADE

Wednesday, 11 November 2015

Timeline of events
Core assembly crew and participants will muster at the Central Park warehouse @ 7:30am in order to arrive at the staging area by 8:30am.  The crew will transport the partially disassembled float to the LOT D staging area at EverBank Field.  LOT D is the southeast parking lot across the street from WJCT.  A "escort car" with materials will accompany the float's movements.

Additional club volunteers can meet the Float at LOT D.  Please note that parking is restricted and if you intend to stay for the duration of the parade, park in the lots near Prime Osborne (Lee & Forsyth streets) and take advantage of the free shuttle to EverBank.

Club volunteers will complete finishing touches and when directed move from the staging area to the "line-up" at approximstely 10:15am.

The parade kicks off promptly at 11:01am. Upon completion of the parade, we'll return the float to the warehouse.  Disassembly of the float to-be-determined.
