PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Tim Howe, President
Southside Business Men's Club
(904) 813-8950

When the Club Chairwoman and I are out and about, people sometimes ask, 'Who are the people/businesses that become members of the Southside Business Men's Club'?

Well, it's a diverse group, that's for sure.  We do not limit our membership to only one person/company for a specific type of business.  Nor do we focus on only certain types of businesses.  We look for people who want to be active in the Club, and do good deeds in our community.

I have said many times, that when I opened my home inspection business (just before the real estate crash), I found an abundance of members who were able to help me establish my new company:  an attorney, banker, printer, marketing agent, and a CPA.   But this is only a small portion of what rounds out our membership.

With our all-new SBMC website www.sbmcjax.com our members are able to lookup (and download) the entire Club membership data.  You can choose from either the Excel spreadsheet (where you can cut-and-paste any specific data you require) or, the PDF format (where you can print a complete and constantly up-to-date directory).   Case in point, I chose the Excel spreadsheet for the following:

This is where you start to hum the tune of 'I've Been Everywhere' from Johnny Cash.

On the Southside of Jax, a man traveled from Timuquana Road...

Said he needed a job, and was looking for an abode...

'It's good you're leaving Timuquana, Mack, to be on the southside...

There's enough history and prosperity here to turn the tide'...

He asked me if I knew where he could get some grub...

I said, 'Listen! First you need to join the Southside Business Men's Club'.

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS

There are 2015 spotlight speaker dates available!  The book is at the sign-in table at each meeting.

This is free to all members in good standing and gives you the opportunity to talk about your business, family, interests, or anything else you would like to talk about for five minutes.  You are also able to put out business cards, flyers, or informational materials on the tables to showcase your business.

Pick your date before they fill up!

We also ask for volunteers to help us start our meetings to get us thinking about what is really important and what is behind whatever success we have achieved - God and Country.

If you have a calling to lead us in prayer/invocation or the pledge of allegiance, please either call or sign up in the spotlight speaker book.
