I have just been informed of another Club President's passing.
1975 Southside Business Men's Club President, Allan G. Gimbel, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. The family held a private ceremony.
Allan joined the U.S. Air Corps during World War II, and served as a fighter pilot. He was a graduate of Florida State University and the University Of Florida School of Law. He owned and operated the Credit Service Bureau, Inc. for several years, prior to deciding to open a Law Practice. Al was active in, the Little Theater of Jacksonville, Southside Business Men's Club, where he held several offices, Stewardship Chairman and President of the Congregation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, President of the Arlington Junior Chamber of Commerce, President of the Associated Credit Bureaus of Florida, President of the American Collectors Association of Florida, Board Member of the Associated Credit Bureaus of America, and was a Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville Beach, Fl.
His surviving family includes his wife Jane, children Gilbert, Michael, Michele and Daniel, 6 Grandsons, 7 Granddaughters, 6 Great-grandsons, 4 Great-granddaughters, 5 Nephews, 4 Nieces, 11 Great-nephews, and 8 Great-nieces.
