Longtime SBMC member and friend, Tom Whicher passed away this afternoon after a short battle with congestive heart failure. 

 

He attended our weekly meeting 3 weeks ago; soon afterward he complained of chest pains.  Eric Ramshaw took him to Memorial Hospital where he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. 

 

Tom (aka The Wine Guy) had been a member of Southside Business Men's Club for over 11 years.  He was a previous Board member.  He had chaired and volunteered at many of our events. 

 

Among his favorite Club projects were the annual Thanksgiving Wine Tasting (which he inaugurated).   And, working the putting competition at our Charity Golf Classic, along with Eric and the Hooters girls.  Many of you noticed Tom was missing at last week's charity event.
