Here I am again, offering my thanks to our amazing volunteers! I appreciate all of the members who came out to work with us at the Jacksonville Craft and Import Beer Festival on Friday. This is the single biggest fundraising night of the year for our club, thanks to the generosity of Mike White, owner of The Buzz Magazine and Client Focus Media. I also appreciate the hard work of 3rd VP Julie Clements, and co-chairs Michael Gullion and Barry Griffin, who organized our volunteer efforts for this event.

Monday I will be at the beautiful San Jose Country Club golf course for the 19th Annual Fidelity National Financial Youth Achiever Program Charity Golf Classic presented by Pet Paradise. (Whew! Say that five times fast!) I am so excited for this event, it's one of the most fun things we do all year. We will have a great lunch, golf with beverages on the course all day, a delicious barbecue dinner, and cap it all off with a fantastic silent auction with door prizes and awards. All of the proceeds will go to our Youth Achiever Program Scholarship Fund, which we hope will one day soon be self sustaining. Thank you to the fantastic committee and to our sponsors.

See you Wednesday, when we will get our annual Legislative Update from our own Hon. Charles McBurney.

 THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

I would like to thank everyone who volunteered at TPC this past week!

I know there were some very busy shifts to work for some.  I would especially like to thank those who worked on Mother's Day; your dedication is not going unnoticed.

Lastly, I would like to thank Hal Smith, Tom Gill, and Penny Kievet for all their work for our Club and the charities we helped during the tournament.

FISHING TRIP
Let's go fishing!!   This year will be our SIXTH annual fishing trip on the Mayport Princess.  The trip is on June 7th, and tickets go on sale starting TODAY for only $80 per person.  What does that give you, you ask?  It gets you one of the just 40 spots on the boat, plus more!

Just so you know, prices on all of the Party Fishing boats in the area went up this year, so the street price is $85 per person.  Well, thanks to Becky Hogan, an SBMC member and part owner of the Mayport Princess, we were able to keep the price at $80 for ONE more year!

Plus, it gets better!  Compliments of our club, we also supply everyone with a really nice boxed lunch from Honeybaked Hams, bottled water, soft drinks, and BEER!!  Did I say beer?  Yes, we do supply beer for you.

The 40 spots sell out every year, and this year will be no exception.  This trip has sold out in less than a week in the past, so don't hesitate.  Either pay on our website online, or pay Dee at the door.

Don't miss the boat!!
